On my Road ID, it says she is my sister. Met Shirley in high school when she was dating my brother. We have known each other for about 45 years. She has come out on the road for many days in the evening and brought me to her house and then took me back out to where I left off. Tomorrow when she takes me out and drops me off, that will be the last time I see my sister for awhile.
It will be hard to see her go.
Fighting Alzheimer’s disease !!
I am not sure who had the idea of taking me to the 2 assisted living facilities in Statesboro, Georgia, but I thank you. It has been so eye opening to me. Meeting patients, caregivers and administrators has been a blessing to me. Remembering them keeps me going.
My plans are to stop at every assisted living facility and nursing home I pass.
Young soldier stopped and wanted to know if I needed anything. He was awesome.
