Well it’s the last day of January.
I had the pleasure of going with Steve to the lab today and watching an experiment. I enjoyed it. He is trying to find a cure for Alzheimers.
Good miles today.
The weather was cooler than it has been lately and the sky was cloudy.
It felt good to me, reaching a milestone of 1000 miles on Charity Miles for the Alzheimers Association yesterday.
I visited a Fleet Feet running store today in Little Rock. Saw a couple of old friends.
This was a good day. I feel good. I feel strong. I miss some people pretty bad. I will work through that, but I will still miss them.
Well, I guess I better get some sleep.

Because of what I am doing trying to help in the fight against Alzheimers disease, I have read a lot about research scientist. One of the most prominent, was a man by the name of Jonas Salk. He was instrumental in finding the vaccine to stop polio. My little cousin had polio. They used the iron lung to try to help her. She was born on August 3rd 1951 and she lost her battle with polio on October the 10th 1954.
My mom said she can remember Susan like it was yesterday and that she was such a precious little girl.
I had the pleasure today of meeting two deputies with the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department. One of them was new on the job. They were very respectful to me. They thanked me for my service. I appreciate what they do and I told them so.
A very nice young lady took my picture for me, as I have promised.
These guys are pretty awesome. They helped me with some shoes and other supplies in 2013.They have been a constant source of encouragement to me.
These pictures were taken at the Reynolds Institute on Aging. It’s located at the University of Arkansas Medical School in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Put in a few miles today. Wilson and I are feeling pretty strong.
We had a TV channel come out and interview us today. We appreciate them very much, for helping us spread the word. The young man in this picture was so respectful. Thank you Dan.
I dropped into the Alzheimers Association office here in Little Rock, Arkansas. I picked up three packages that were sent to me.
I talked to a couple of homeless men today. For those few minutes they had respect. I’m not saying that they don’t normally have respect, but I am saying, I know they got it from me. I know nothing about their stories, but I know they are people.
I visited an Alzheimers research lab today. This is a picture of Rachel. She wants to find a cure for Alzheimers disease.
This evening I had dinner with 3 people that helped me in 2013 and continue to offer me their help on this trip.
I found out today a friend of mine has been diagnosed with cancer and has been told he does not have long to live.
Another friend of mine is getting ready to give birth. It will be a beautiful baby girl.
I spoke with my daughter today and to my mother and I spoke to Mark and Susan.
This was a good day and I feel very good and I am strong!
