Alzheimer’s – one form of denial

Dementia is suspected by family members. Mom is struggling to remember. Sometimes one of the children suspects mom may be doing some pretending.

If it’s real, and it usually is, a day will come when that child may realize mom is really fading away and is not faking. No more denying.

They tell me that is a rough day.

A quote:  “You can’t converse with alzheimer’s sufferers in the way you do with others; the dialogue tends to go round in circles”  Kevin Whatley
