She’s not kin to me, but she needs me – every day I do this

I asked a lady today if diabetes runs in her family and she said no. She told me this about her friend.

I go by and give her an insulin shot every day and I help with planning her meals. We sit and talk about whatever she wants, not long, but long enough. She said before this began, her friend did not care if she lived or not. Now she wants to live.

No blood kin, just a neighbor she was made aware of.
