you need to cheer up. you’re no fun to be near #ENDALZ

He’s been a caregiver 24/7 for over 5 years. No family other than his mother. No extra money. His mother has alzheimer’s disease and has to be watched constantly. She is incontinent. At first he had occasional help, but people slowly stopped returning calls and text messages. He was reaching out for some form of normalcy. Today, for the first time, someone told him he needs to choose being happy and they hung up. He said he was stunned and at a total loss for words.

I ask him what he did after they hung up and he said he cleaned his mom up for the fourth time today.
