from a great story about courage

He was the flag bearer and was mortally wounded. He was advancing with his company and was on his hands and knees. He was trying to continue and keep the flag off the ground, that was his duty. An opposing soldier saw this and ran over and held the flag up as the wounded soldier died. Then he gently laid the flag to the ground and went back to battle.
