Hurricane Harvey and Irma

Many folks have lost their lives, and thousands have lost homes. As a child we lived in Ft Pierce, Florida and later in Jacksonville. I remember well the tension associated with the uncertainty of a hurricane. We never suffered any losses, so I do not know the stress these folks are experiencing.

First Texas was hit hard, and now Florida is in the path of another dangerous storm. These are stressful times for a lot of people. I read a few minutes ago that motels have no vacancy as far north as Macon, Georgia.

Hurricane Irma has strengthened to a category 5 and has Puerto Rico in its sights. As it stands, it is the most powerful storm ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean.
