more long distance trekkers

I picked up the local newspaper yesterday (the Georgia Post). It had a picture of a young man walking across the United States of America. He started at Tybee Island. He is heading west. Right now he has went to safe ground because of the hurricane and will be back in the area soon and we will make plans to meet. We have communicated on Facebook.

A young man heading east passed through here two days ago. He was running with a jogging stroller and I do mean running. He is an ex-Army Ranger. Dahlonega, Georgia is the home of Camp Frank D Merrill. That’s where the mountaineering training for the Rangers is done. His memories of Merrill are special. Some he trained with lost their lives overseas.
