From April 14th, 2014
I was in the middle of the Mediterranean Ocean on CVA 42. I was in the United States Navy. He was on the ground in Vietnam in the United States Army. We were the same age. Nobody spit on him when he came home because you cannot spit into a coffin. He has been gone for 49 years. I think about him often. His memory is important to me and always has been. Sometimes, when I go through tough times, I think about him and I stand taller, for him.
