The day the New Mexico State Police sent an officer to pick me up may qualify for a bad day. What made it bad was my lack of planning that made it happen. With all the real problems in the world, there I was pulling an officer away from the possibility of a real emergency.
I was so grateful that day that my daughter called them, and they responded with no problem, but the very next day I realized it was a lack of planning on my part. I worked very hard at making sure that didn’t happen again.
My daughter and the state police responded in a very proper way, and I will never forget the help, and will always be grateful, but since then, I have tried hard not to let a lack of planning on my part cause someone else to get into an emergency mode.
