His definition of an Athlete

“When I label one an athlete, it speaks more to the whole person. One’s intestinal fortitude, staying power, and grace under pressure mean every bit as much as their 5K time in a race. For me, the embodiment of a true athlete is clear cut: one doing the very best they can under particular circumstances, especially those in which adversity plays a part. When we’re backed against the wall, only then can we truly show others, and ourselves more importantly, what we’re made of.” Mark Bravo

In his book “Momentum” on page 37 are the words the paragraph above speaks of. My copy is tattered from much use.
