A visit to Newfound Gap

Newfound Gap is beautiful to me and today’s visit was enjoyable. There were no plans, but the wheels began to turn. It’s another seven miles to Clingman’s Dome in a vehicle and my feet began to move in that direction. Here are a few pictures from today. The three miles up and three miles down felt good.

The road to the dome closes every year on December 1st.

  1. SO beautiful and peaceful!

  2. Jack, this all looks very familiar. We have visited the Clingmans Dome many times. The family has hiked the AT through Georgia and NC. I long to return someday. Great pictures.
