Is it worthwhile? It will raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association and the Special Olympics. It should help me remain healthy. Yes, it’s worthwhile.

Is it attainable? If it is pursued as a lifelong goal it should be.

It is measurable? Yes, it has a date certain and a milage amount.

Will it conflict with other goals or responsibilities? I am a caregiver, but I feel like it can work by being spontaneous.

What strings will I attach, if any, that would stop the attempt? If I got to where I couldn’t walk very well, the pursuit will continue with a cane, crutches or arm powered wheel chair. Only an extreme health situation or serious responsibility would necessitate stopping the endeavor and calling it a failure.

The Goal

To take the 15,432 miles I have already been on foot concerning Alzheimer’s and add another 14,568 to it, for a total of 30,000 miles on foot by Monday, October 24, 2039. That will be two miles every day. Concurrently 2 miles every day will be walked for the Special Olympics to reach 7284 miles by Monday, July 16, 2029

Today, April 6, 2019, I began working towards both goals.
