My nephew called it an Epic Journey . . .

It began at Skidaway Island State Park near Savannah Georgia and concluded at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company in Monterey California.

I was on foot from Skidaway to Kingman Arizona, climbed in the passenger seat of a car and jumped back on the ground in Paso Robles California, and proceeded to Bubba Gump.

2,594 miles were on foot and 458 were in an SUV. The Epic Journey began as an “every foot on foot” undertaking, but for personal reasons, that changed . . .

This trip was to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association.

This picture will explain what the miles on foot looked like . . .

There were many aspects to this Journey and I think most of them turned out in a very successful way. We raised over $27000 for the Alzheimer’s Association and we made thousands of connections with people concerning this horrific disease. We also helped people make connections with each other, that I think will have lasting affects.

The trip began on January 12, 2013 and ended August 26, 2013. (226 days)
