In my opinion the “Across the Land” project was successful. The mission was to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association, and that occurred.

Many times I allowed my ego to direct the orchestra, so to speak, but there were other times, the mission critical chose our path. I forgive myself for that and will do better next time.

“We,” that word is appropriate here. There were always folks helping. Most rotated in and out depending on location, but others were at the ready to do what they could, anytime.

All told, “we” raised nearly $50,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association and made a lot of noise, good noise.

“We” did good! “We” showed up and did the work!

My ego, and it was my doing, was bruised a few times during this project, but hundreds of folks helped me make “Across the Land” successful. It helped people that it helped, no matter how I felt.
